Hi guys…! Please read it completely before you make any judgment and take any step about the post on Facebook regarding the complaint against hotel red carpet in Dharamshala.

I know everyone has got thrilled after reading this post on facebook and even I was. I was not aware of it until I got a personal message from an unknown person with the post link which is:

In the post, it is written that,मै और मेरे साथ 4 परिवार कुल मिला कर 15 लोग 5 जून से 10 जून तक की बुकिंग कराकर हिमाचल और पंजाब गए हमने सारी होटल की बुकिंग मेक माय ट्रिप से कराई आखरी 2 दिन हमारे होटल धर्मशाला में hotel रेड carpet में थे हमने 9 जून मतलब परसो 4 रूम में चेक इन किया करने के बाद उस होटल मालिक का व्यवहार बहुत अजीब सा था चूंकि हमने 4 रूम बुक कराये थे हमने सारे रूम 2 -2 एडल्ट के लिए कराये थे उसने बोला बच्चो के पैसे एक्स्ट्रा लूँगा 800 रूपये 2 दिन के हमने कहा ठीक है कोई बात नहीं सर उस होटल के नीचे restaurant और था शाम के टाइम हम पहुंचे थे हमने अपनी टेम्पो ट्रैवलर delhi से बुक करा रक्खी थी हमने उस रेस्टुरेंट से 7 चाय और 1 कॉफ़ी और थोड़ी cookies का आर्डर दिया जिसमे चाय कॉफ़ी तो अच्छी थी पर cookies सीली हुई थी हम सर डेल्ही में 2 जोड़े दूकान का काम करते है हम आपस में बात कर रहे थे कि ये कूकीज सही नहीं है
सीली भी हुई है और रेट भी बहुत ज्यादा है हमने निर्णय लिया की अब खाना इसके यहाँ न खाकर कहीं और दूसरी जगह खाएंगे अब हम 4 परिवार अपने कमरो में चले गए और वहां जाकर देखा की होटल ने कमरो में पानी का जग भी नहीं रख रखा था हमने होटल में फोन किया पर उस लालची मालिक ने फ़ोन उठाया और कहता की पानी खरीद कर पीलो ।।
सर 3000 का रूम था बेसिक फैसिलिटी भी नहीं थी तोलिया सिर्फ एक ही था हर रूम के हिसाब से जो हर होटल में कम से कम 2 होते है रात हुई हम खाना खाने चले गए और वापस में दुबारा जब अपने होटल के कमरे में पहुंचे हम सबमे एक बच्चे ने गूगल पे होटल की वेबसाइट पे जाकर होटल को 1 स्टार दे दिया हमें पता भी नहीं था उसने नादानी में दे दिया अब हमने रिसेप्शन पे फ़ोन किया कि आपने 800 रुपये हमसे 3 एक्स्ट्रा गद्दों के मांगे है वो दे दे तो उसने फ़ोन काट दिया कहता नीचे आकर बात करो रात के लगभग 12 बजे थे हम जैसे उसके पास गए उस होटल मालिक ने हमें गालिया देना चालू कर दिया और बोला कहता अभी रात में होटल खली कर दो नहीं तो जान से मार दूंगा सुबह दिख गए तो हमने उसके बहुत हाथ पैर जोड़े की रात में कहाँ जायँगे सुबह खाली कर देंगे पर वो बोला की अब में जा रहा हु लेकिन सुबह आऊंगा तुम दिखना मत सर हम सारे परिवार बहुत डर गए लेकिन रात में हम कहाँ जाते पुलिस में जाने का भी कोई फायदा न लगा क्योंकि होटल मालिको का बहुत मोटा पैसा जाता है होटल में और हम लोगो में 4 लोग सरकारी टीचर थे जो 10जून तक की छुट्टी डिपार्टमेंट से लेकर आये थे और थाने का कोई पता नहीं की हमारे कितने दिन हिमाचल में लगाता और बच्चो को कहाँ ले जाते हमने रात डर के साये में निकली सुबह 8 बजे हमने निकलने की तैयारी की और रिसेप्शन में जब हम गये तो होटल का मालिक और उसका भाई वहां मौजूद थे उन्होंने हमसे 3 गुना पैसे जबर्दस्ती लिए और उसके बाद हमे रिसेप्शन पे बंद कर लिया और कहता की तुम्हारी हिम्मत कैसे हुई मेरे खिलाफ मेक माय ट्रिप में कॉम्प्लैनेट करने की अब वो स्टाफ के साथ काम से कम 20 लोग थे हमने किसी तरह बच्चो को गाडी में बिठा दिया और हम चारो को उसने बहुत बुरी तरीके से मारा हमारे सर में पेट में बहुत चोट आयी हमारे कपडे फाड़ दिए उसने अपने एक स्टाफ को बोला की गाडी ले जा और लड़के बुला के ला वो हमें जान से मारने पे आमादा था पर किस्मत से मेरी बीवी गाडी में से निकलकर आ गयी और किसी तरीके से हमे बचा लिया हमने मेक माय ट्रिप वालो को बहुत फ़ोन किया हम उसकी जिम्मेदारी पे आये थे पर उन्होंने हमारी कोई सुध न ली बल्कि कोई बैक कॉल भी नहीं आयी Make my trip जा रवैय्या बहुत गैर जिम्मेदाराना था अगर हम किसी अनजान जगह पर जाते है तो ये ट्रेवल कंपनी की जिम्मेदारी होती है कि वो हमारी सुरक्षा करे हम रात को 12 बजे से लगातार मेक माय ट्रिप को फ़ोन करते रहे लेकिन उनकी तरफ से हमें कोई पॉजिटिव प्रतिक्रिया नहीं मिली सुबह जब हम चेक आउट करने गए तो होटल का मालिक बोला की तुम्हारी हिम्मत कैसे हुई मेक माय ट्रिप पे मेरी शिकायत करने की वहां से मार खा कर आने के बाद हमने कई दफा फ़ोन किया लेकिन अभी तक कोई बैक कॉल हमें मेक माय ट्रिप की तरफ से नही आयी ।।
मेरे पास सारे सबूत है इस होटल मालिक के खिलाफ और मेक माय ट्रिप के खिलाफ कृपया आप इस पोस्ट को अधिक से अधिक शेयर करे साथ में मै होटल के मालिक की id भी शेयर कर रहा हूँ और जो हिमाचल टूरिज्म को लिखा और जो परिवार साथ गया सब फोटो शेयर कर रहा हूँ आप सब अधिक से अधिक शेयर करे और make my trip को और होटल मालिक को सबक सिखाये , जिससे भविष्य में वो किसी और को अपना शिकार न बनाये

I really felt very angry after reading it and was badly disappointed, as many of you are. It’s very much visible from the comments on the post as everyone is just abusing the owner, and are suggesting to file a complaint against them and to seal the hotel as they misbehaved with the tourist’s family. And, I completely agree this should have happened with the one you do the same. Mark my words guys; I say who do the same.

But, before making any judgment, I immediately contacted the owner of the hotel and I came to know the different story which has completely changed my perception about the hotel, which I made after reading this Facebook post. And I get to know that the hotel’s owner mistake was just that he caught the family running away without paying the hotel charges, and asked them for the money, which they deserve for the services provided.

The owner, Mr Rajesh Joshi told me that, “The booking was done for 8 peoples, but it was 14 people who checked into the hotel, including kids. The family checked into around 4’o clock. The cost of booking was Rs. 6000 for two days, including complimentary breakfast for 8 people. When the owner gets to know that it was 14 people, he asked the family to pay the extra charges for extra people, but at the end, after a lot of discussion, the owner bend by looking at the kids and female members, and allowed them to stay at the hotel at the rate of Rs. 1200, which is Rs. 600 per day (who have this much heart, from Rs. 3000, he came to Rs. 600 just because the family requested a lot). The things got settled and they all went to their room, but at night around 11:30 or 12’o clock, they called on the reception and asked for 5 extra mattresses. The staff asked them to come to reception and talk to the owner. The hotel’s owner said that it would be charged extra and denied to give them for free. On this, few of the family members started abusing them and criticizing their hotel regarding the facilities and the equipment they have, for example, fan. One of the family members said that they have Havel’s fan in their home and the hotel is having Anchor’s fan and so on… After few minutes, the owner too lost his patience and the small fight happened. As there was CCTV camera on the hotel premises, everything that was happened was recorded.

Then, after going back to their rooms, the family called the Make My Trip at around 12:30 am (as they had their booking through their website) and did a complaint against the hotel’s owner where they said that “the owner has not permitted them to stay in the hotel and now they were sleeping on the road; they were even beaten by the hotel’s owner.” The hotel red carpet was one of the best rated and reputed hotels on Make My Trip (MMT) and MMT was very much aware of the facilities provided by them. So, instead of calling at that time, MMT called the hotel’s owner in the morning nearby 7:30 A.M. The hotel is the smart property of OYO as well, so at that time, it was MMT, OYO and the hotel’s owner had a conference call. The owner told them everything that happened to them. Whatever conversation was done on call, MMT has its recording. MMT asked the owner to make them speak to the family once he reaches the hotel.

Mr Rajesh Joshi was at his home when he got a call from his brother at 8:30 A.M. that the family was leaving. The owner reaches the hotel and got to know that the family was running away without paying the money. The owner stopped them and asked for the charges as they have used the hotel facilities. They tried to run away, but when failed, they paid the amount and started to abuse the owner and had a fight with them. Everything was recorded in the CCTV camera present there.”

The owner also told that “after they checked out, then in the afternoon, they all again had the conference call, where there was Make My Trip executive, OYO executive, the hotel’s owner, and one of the family member. MMT wants to help the family, but when all the false statements were cleared, the family member disconnected the call, without uttering a single word. MMT has its recording as well.”

After hearing everything from the owner, I asked him why he didn’t call police at that time. He simply said that “everything that happened was in such a hurry that they didn’t get the time to do so, but now they had filed a complaint against the family as they are abusing him and his hotel publicly, plus they are threatening him.”

My other question was about the CCTV camera footage and the call recording. Where are they and why he has not made it public?

He told me that he has all the CCTV camera footage with him and will public it in a day or two, and about the call recording, he said that Make My Trip (MMT) has its recording but they are not giving it to him, as maybe they don’t want to lose their customer, but can afford to lose the hotel.

I even asked him when he got aware about the post on Facebook, why he didn’t reply on it, and I got shocked with the answer when he told that he was blocked to see the post or to make any comment. He got to know about the post from his friends and other people. Even many people had called him from various places, departments, NGO’s, etc. to know the matter and he explained everything to everyone.

At the end of the entire conversation, he just raised these major points:

1. Why did they not go to the police station once they are beaten in a closed room? What were they waiting for? And if they were scared of going to police at that time, then why they didn’t file a case later? And instead of filing the case, they are posting it publically on social media to make the reputation of the Hotel Red Carpet’s down.

2. Why they made a booking for 8 people as in reality they were 15 people as stated by them in the post?

3. Why they block me on the Facebook? He is not able to see the post and could not able to comment on it. Please ask them.

4. If he is wrong then why he went to police station and filed a complaint against him and clarify everything by footage?

This was the thing which I get to know when I had words with the owner of the Hotel Red Carpet, termed as the best hotel in Dharamshala, which was completely different from the post on Facebook. The owner has all the proofs and is ready to post them publically, but what about the family? Do they have any proof? And are they ready to show the copy of MMT booking and the bill copy issued from the Hotel Red Carpet?

Guys, I don’t want to make any personal comment on this issue, neither I want to share my own personal opinion. I just did my work to bring the facts from both sides and make everyone aware of the things.

I am glad I contacted the Hotel owner and didn’t make my opinion just by knowing the things on one side. Even I am not getting why we people just made a perception by knowing the things from one side, and didn’t tried to know the things from another end as well and then judge who is right or wrong and who should be punished. Is it our foolishness or we are so much frustrated within ourselves that we just look for a chance to show our anger on others? Common guys, be mature and try to act maturely. And, it’s not just about this post, try to follow this in your personal life too, maybe many of your problems may seek out.

Rest guys, I have shown you the facts from both end and now it is totally your decision whom you want to support. If people can use social media to make friends, it may also be used by the people for the purpose of revenge. So, Judge wisely.

(P.S. – I have not mentioned Family member name in the post as my point was just to bring out facts, not to ill-fame anyone.)

      Right now both parties have settled down and now just those people are doing who has shared this post by copy and paste. But I am ready to give answers to all so feel free to call at any time I would like to raise my voice if they are rally understanding it.

    Yes the above mentioned situations is all fake. As I also stayed in Red Carpet for 2 days and the services was too good. I didn’t found a single negative point towards the hotel. So, kindly ignore these kind of publicity stunts which only creates negativity nothing else. Just believe and go for Hotel Red Carpet…

        Obviously it’s fake. According to the family members and the situation which they had described, if the owner mis behaved with them badly then why they did not complained to cob that time only. What they are waiting for. So, i guess we should wait for all evidence which will be share soon…

        Sir it’s not about the fake it’s just about putting a situation in manipulating way. But sir now everything is settled between us.

        Sir please try to understand there is always a fight when both are in aggression and when both thinks they are doing right. There should be responsibility of mediation to cool thing offwhich they have failed and for that they have paid for.

        No sir everyone is sharing their thoughts after reading my post and his post. You should know that this is my profession and I am earning through it so why would I do this. This situation was created by some my issue and by some his fault which has been settled now by mutual understanding. There was a mistake that big names should have interfare rather than just letting it in easy notes.

      I really don’t know who is culprit here basically may be he was right at his side and I was by my side. But yes he should have gone to police or me then this situation would not be created.

    Tumne misbehave kiya hi hoga warna ab tak tum police me ja chuke hote. Itne bhole nahi ho tum ki hotel ki reputation pe baat aa jaaye aur police me fir na karwaao. In logo pe bharosa mat karo, hotels waale aise hi hote hain. Ye kisika ek paisa nahi chhodte. CCTV me tum galat nahi hote to ab tak video release kar diya hota. I give you negative star.       Sir, we have already filed a police complaint against those people and soon we will upload videos and F.I.R. copy. But sir let me ask you one thing that if they were right an haven’t done anything wrong, then why they haven’t called the police in the hotel premises and why they haven’t filed a complaint against the hotel later? Please think and don’t make any decision just by knowing the one-sided story. They have blocked us from that post so were unable to reply over there. Sir, we have reputed hotel and we value our customers. And soon all evidence will be in front of you. Then decided who was wrong and should be punished. Thank You

      Sir basically putting video footage is not that much easy sir this is always a confidential thing.. When big names can make it confidential by not giving me a audio call in which they spoke to the guest and another call for which they raise a complaint to me. If this audio call come out this will make things simpler but yes I agreed tasty this matter is in social media so that’s y all are thinking not to put it in online.

    मैंने तो उनकी पोस्ट पर ही सवाल उठा दिए थे , उनका कहना था कि एक स्टार देने पर होटल मालिक ने मारपीट की , गले के नीचे नही उतरती । इतनी मारपीट की गई लेकिन पुलिस को कंप्लेंट नही की गई क्यों ? साफ मामला झूठ का था आज यहां पढ़ कर तस्वीर साफ हो गई ।
    होटल मालिको के खिलाफ हिमाचल में इस तरह के मामले होते रहते है क्योकी हम हिमाचली शरीफ लोग है यही काम ये लोग पंजाब हरियाणा दिल्ली उत्तर प्रदेश में में करते तो साबूत न वापिस आते ।

      True sir this is just a normal thing. But this issue was highlighted in social media by some high profile people having followers so it came in highlight.

      Each and every guest is never satisfied by any hotel either its a 5 star hotel but here the point was shown different but now the things have been changed and settled from both the parties..

      Sir videos are always confidential, when big names are not sharing a audio recording which will prove what happened there but Thaey are not sharing. But I have let police and authorities to check the video and they have seen that. Sorry sir for not fulfilling your this demand due to confidential.

    अब जब यह मामला सोशल मीडिया में आ गया है… तो होटल वाले भी अपनी सफाई देने के लिए आगे आ गए हैं …बेहद अफसोस जनक है यह वाक्य …हिमाचल की धरती पर…

    I think both the parties are hiding something and were equally wrong at their parts, plus everyone is saying police complaint kyon nahi no, it’s very simple I understand is, police ne karna kuch nahi tha, bas dono se paise kamane they.
    Family life galti lag rahi hai yeh ki unho ne paise bachane ke liye behas kari hogi, socha nahi hoga mamla yahan tak pahunchega.
    Hotel waale ki zyaada galti hai, ki unko ladai nahi karni chahiye thi, khas kar wo unke mehmaan they, you are in hospitality business so you got to have patience and be humble and very calm. Agar family paise dena nahi chah rahi thi to MMT se coordinate karke unse agey ka action consult chahiye tha.
    An itna sab honey me baad sabse zyada nuksaan to Hotel ka hi hoga, kyonki log sab bhool jayenge lekin ye hotel ka incident hamesha samne aayega and will have a negative on your business. People will be worried about their safety, when booking at your hotel.
    I think you should speak to good marketing person and consider on improving your hotel’s reputation for future, few things to consider would be change of name, new branding, etc.

    But most importantly, a lesson learnt for future you should stay calm and handle things more maturely.

    For the family, I think you should forget this as a bad dream and think about was it worth going thru all this just to save a little money, perhaps when on vacation enjoy and be extra careful when with family and kids.

    See whatever happened is not a Masala story for me. Im from dharamshala n i really dnt liked it. That customer is a smart writer n made a gud fiction. Extra charges are always applicable on extra occupancy, I believe they r failed to negotiate n hole incident happened.
    Anyways my concen is,if customer had any issues with owener n wan to spoil his image in social media dn he is allowed to upload only owners pics nt along with his wife. he uploaed owners joint pics with his wife, which is nt at all accepted, u cnt broadcast his wife pics n defame her, She was nt at all involed in dat incident. Hw cn u publish n defames a innocent individual.

      Sir about the profile pic I was also very much in depression when I saw that pic.. Yes he should have used my pic there are many profile pics. But at this point my wife supported me very well and which levels up her image and respect for her.

    Owner doesn’t have any fault. Yesterday one more incident happened. One of my friend who is manager in hotel yogindera nagrotta bagwa kangra ,told me one delhi no. Car ran away without paying night hault and dinner money .

      Sir in this profession it’s just a normal thing but it depend how things finished. In my way it is socialized very badly and with high references.. I could also do the same but there is no point because public is not believing my side story. They made me sad by saying that I can manipulate a video also. Then there is no reason to comment NY more.

    तो cctv की footage वो public क्यों नही कर रहा
    इतनी बेज़्ज़ती के बाद तो तुरंत करनी चाहिए थी
    और
    दूसरी बात 14 लोग उसमे 2 साल 3 साल के बच्चे भी थे
    उसे क्या आप एडल्ट में गिनेंगे
    और अगर कोई परेशानी थी तो
    सीधा बिचोलिये को फ़ोन क्यों नहीं किया
    मार पीट की क्या जरुरत थी
    और मैंने तो पहले ही मेंशन किया
    आप भी जाते होंगे तो अगर बच्चे है साथ में तो उनको अलग रूम न दिलाकर एक ही रुम्बडिलाते होंगे
    और तीसरी बात fir की तो police का फ़ोन आया था उन्होंने बोला की हमने चेक किया है
    आप की कोई गलती नहीं है
    और चौथी बात की अगर मेरी गलती थी टी राजेश जोशी ने कई बार फ़ोन कर के माफ़ी क्यों मांगी
    और written में मैसेंजर में माफ़ी मांगी है
    ऐसा क्यों ?
    पांचवी बात
    पुलिस में compalined क्यों नहीं की ?
    तो अगर बीवी बच्चे साथ हो तो ङ्किसीसफेटी पहले है
    जो बच्चे और औरतों के आंसू बंद नहीं हो रहे उनको छोड़ के पुलिस स्टेशन जाना अनजाने शहर में मुझे सही नहीं लगा
    और बीवी बच्चो वाला आदमी भी शायद आप में से यही करता
    और बात रही माफ़ करने की तो ये मेरी शराफत है
    की माफ़ कर रहा हूँ
    नहीं तो मेरे पास इतनी ताकत और सपोर्ट है

      Dear ravi.. Do u really think ki aisa Hua h. Apke bache kitne the 2-3 saal k batiye.. Or kitne bache above 5 years.. Or kitne bache above 10 year the.. You already know kya baat hui thi hamare bich and what u demanded.. Police se bhi baat hui h unhone Kab Bola hi ki footage m koi Galti nahi h tumhari.. If you really want to spread it then why did you ask me to take complaint from police.. Rahi baat mediator ko nahi bulaya voh tum ache se jante ho ki tumne toh unhi ko nishana banaya h or voh big brand hone k vajah se compensation DE raha h.. Sorry just Isly Bola because I don’t want it to continue anymore because rather than going to social media Maine police and legal action karna jaruri samjha.. Because on fb and post log sympathy dete h but at the end case file karne se hi Sach or juth Pata chalta h..       Important thing cctv footage aise nahi dikhayi jati h kyu nahi tum audio call Manga lo jo gommt ko tumne shikayat ki thi usse bhi clear ho Jayga.. Cctv footage police ko dikhaya or kuch logo ko.. Tumhari demand voh Rahi h jo ki confidential rehti h. If you are really interested in seeing a video why don’t you come with some big names and lawyer and ask for it. Then I will do what you want.

    Tourists when travel try to avoid fights or awkward situations . The family already stayed in other hotels and were in good spirits before entering red carpet . Tourists also fear locals so I am with them they would have avoided police too .
    All friends of hotel owners are posting in favour of him but the fact is customer should be treated nicely.
    I URGE ALL TOURISTS TO AVOID THIS HOTEL IN FUTURE !!🙏🏻🙏🏻

      Sir may be this happened what you stay. But reconsider If this happened with you then you would also not go to the police.. Sir I request you to go police which will save from both the parties from this big pro blue.
      Sir you are requesting tourist not to got to this hotel but not requesting everyone to enter their correct details about the member

    शायद इसमें होटल मालिक की भी ग़लती रही होगी , परंतु पहले भी इस प्रकार की घटनाएँ देखने को मिली है जहाँ ऊपभोक्त कम लोगों की बुकिंग करवाता है और जब होटल पहुँचते हैं तो ज़ायद लोगों के साथ पहुँचते हैं और फिर होटल वालों पे दबाब डालते हैं की अतरिक्त लोगों को भी रहने दिया जाए वो भी मुफ़्त में ……और जब उन्हें ऐसे नहीं करने दिया जाता तो ऐसे नालायक उपभोक्ता मीडिया का इस्तेमाल करते हैं अपनी भड़ास निकालने के लिए …….

    मैं इस बात को मानता हु की होटल के कर्मचारियों ने भी बटेमिजी की होगी , पर साथ में यह भी मानता हु की उपभोक्ता ने ऐसी परिस्थिति उत्पन कर दी होगी की मालिक और कर्मचारियों को ऊपभोक्त के साथ ऐसा व्यवाहर करना पड़ा …….

    जहाँ तक मुझे समझ आता है बात सिर्फ़ और सर्फ़ पैसों से शुरू हुई थी और पैसों पे ख़त्म हुई । मालिक ने अतरिक्त सेवा के लिए शुल्क माँगा होगा और उपभोक्ता मुफ़्त में सेवा लेना चाहता होगा …………

    जो भी ग़लत है उसे सज़ा मिलनी चाहिए

      Sir basically if I will put my point I will try to make myself corrector will try to proof my self right.

      Yes my mistake could be that I did not went to police but this happened at such speed that nothing came in mind. I really dint think this could become such a big matter otherwise I would be at police station at that time. Next day I went to police station to show them video what really happened there.

      Genuinely speaking you have take both sides which is good if people allows us to resolve our problem then there could be a solution rather than making it public and misusing the power of social media.

    I stayed at Hotel Red carpet. Superb services provided by them. Whole staff was so humble and down to earth to help anyone at anytime.
    Before reading this post I don’t know the owner name but now I am glad to say that Mr. Rajesh Joshi ur hotel services superb including staff.
