Hi guys…! Please read it completely before you make any judgment and take any step about the post on Facebook regarding the complaint against hotel red carpet in Dharamshala.
I know everyone has got thrilled after reading this post on facebook and even I was. I was not aware of it until I got a personal message from an unknown person with the post link which is:
In the post, it is written that, “मै और मेरे साथ 4 परिवार कुल मिला कर 15 लोग 5 जून से 10 जून तक की बुकिंग कराकर हिमाचल और पंजाब गए हमने सारी होटल की बुकिंग मेक माय ट्रिप से कराई आखरी 2 दिन हमारे होटल धर्मशाला में hotel रेड carpet में थे हमने 9 जून मतलब परसो 4 रूम में चेक इन किया करने के बाद उस होटल मालिक का व्यवहार बहुत अजीब सा था चूंकि हमने 4 रूम बुक कराये थे हमने सारे रूम 2 -2 एडल्ट के लिए कराये थे उसने बोला बच्चो के पैसे एक्स्ट्रा लूँगा 800 रूपये 2 दिन के हमने कहा ठीक है कोई बात नहीं सर उस होटल के नीचे restaurant और था शाम के टाइम हम पहुंचे थे हमने अपनी टेम्पो ट्रैवलर delhi से बुक करा रक्खी थी हमने उस रेस्टुरेंट से 7 चाय और 1 कॉफ़ी और थोड़ी cookies का आर्डर दिया जिसमे चाय कॉफ़ी तो अच्छी थी पर cookies सीली हुई थी हम सर डेल्ही में 2 जोड़े दूकान का काम करते है हम आपस में बात कर रहे थे कि ये कूकीज सही नहीं है
सीली भी हुई है और रेट भी बहुत ज्यादा है हमने निर्णय लिया की अब खाना इसके यहाँ न खाकर कहीं और दूसरी जगह खाएंगे अब हम 4 परिवार अपने कमरो में चले गए और वहां जाकर देखा की होटल ने कमरो में पानी का जग भी नहीं रख रखा था हमने होटल में फोन किया पर उस लालची मालिक ने फ़ोन उठाया और कहता की पानी खरीद कर पीलो ।।
सर 3000 का रूम था बेसिक फैसिलिटी भी नहीं थी तोलिया सिर्फ एक ही था हर रूम के हिसाब से जो हर होटल में कम से कम 2 होते है रात हुई हम खाना खाने चले गए और वापस में दुबारा जब अपने होटल के कमरे में पहुंचे हम सबमे एक बच्चे ने गूगल पे होटल की वेबसाइट पे जाकर होटल को 1 स्टार दे दिया हमें पता भी नहीं था उसने नादानी में दे दिया अब हमने रिसेप्शन पे फ़ोन किया कि आपने 800 रुपये हमसे 3 एक्स्ट्रा गद्दों के मांगे है वो दे दे तो उसने फ़ोन काट दिया कहता नीचे आकर बात करो रात के लगभग 12 बजे थे हम जैसे उसके पास गए उस होटल मालिक ने हमें गालिया देना चालू कर दिया और बोला कहता अभी रात में होटल खली कर दो नहीं तो जान से मार दूंगा सुबह दिख गए तो हमने उसके बहुत हाथ पैर जोड़े की रात में कहाँ जायँगे सुबह खाली कर देंगे पर वो बोला की अब में जा रहा हु लेकिन सुबह आऊंगा तुम दिखना मत सर हम सारे परिवार बहुत डर गए लेकिन रात में हम कहाँ जाते पुलिस में जाने का भी कोई फायदा न लगा क्योंकि होटल मालिको का बहुत मोटा पैसा जाता है होटल में और हम लोगो में 4 लोग सरकारी टीचर थे जो 10जून तक की छुट्टी डिपार्टमेंट से लेकर आये थे और थाने का कोई पता नहीं की हमारे कितने दिन हिमाचल में लगाता और बच्चो को कहाँ ले जाते हमने रात डर के साये में निकली सुबह 8 बजे हमने निकलने की तैयारी की और रिसेप्शन में जब हम गये तो होटल का मालिक और उसका भाई वहां मौजूद थे उन्होंने हमसे 3 गुना पैसे जबर्दस्ती लिए और उसके बाद हमे रिसेप्शन पे बंद कर लिया और कहता की तुम्हारी हिम्मत कैसे हुई मेरे खिलाफ मेक माय ट्रिप में कॉम्प्लैनेट करने की अब वो स्टाफ के साथ काम से कम 20 लोग थे हमने किसी तरह बच्चो को गाडी में बिठा दिया और हम चारो को उसने बहुत बुरी तरीके से मारा हमारे सर में पेट में बहुत चोट आयी हमारे कपडे फाड़ दिए उसने अपने एक स्टाफ को बोला की गाडी ले जा और लड़के बुला के ला वो हमें जान से मारने पे आमादा था पर किस्मत से मेरी बीवी गाडी में से निकलकर आ गयी और किसी तरीके से हमे बचा लिया हमने मेक माय ट्रिप वालो को बहुत फ़ोन किया हम उसकी जिम्मेदारी पे आये थे पर उन्होंने हमारी कोई सुध न ली बल्कि कोई बैक कॉल भी नहीं आयी Make my trip जा रवैय्या बहुत गैर जिम्मेदाराना था अगर हम किसी अनजान जगह पर जाते है तो ये ट्रेवल कंपनी की जिम्मेदारी होती है कि वो हमारी सुरक्षा करे हम रात को 12 बजे से लगातार मेक माय ट्रिप को फ़ोन करते रहे लेकिन उनकी तरफ से हमें कोई पॉजिटिव प्रतिक्रिया नहीं मिली सुबह जब हम चेक आउट करने गए तो होटल का मालिक बोला की तुम्हारी हिम्मत कैसे हुई मेक माय ट्रिप पे मेरी शिकायत करने की वहां से मार खा कर आने के बाद हमने कई दफा फ़ोन किया लेकिन अभी तक कोई बैक कॉल हमें मेक माय ट्रिप की तरफ से नही आयी ।।
मेरे पास सारे सबूत है इस होटल मालिक के खिलाफ और मेक माय ट्रिप के खिलाफ कृपया आप इस पोस्ट को अधिक से अधिक शेयर करे साथ में मै होटल के मालिक की id भी शेयर कर रहा हूँ और जो हिमाचल टूरिज्म को लिखा और जो परिवार साथ गया सब फोटो शेयर कर रहा हूँ आप सब अधिक से अधिक शेयर करे और make my trip को और होटल मालिक को सबक सिखाये , जिससे भविष्य में वो किसी और को अपना शिकार न बनाये

I really felt very angry after reading it and was badly disappointed, as many of you are. It’s very much visible from the comments on the post as everyone is just abusing the owner, and are suggesting to file a complaint against them and to seal the hotel as they misbehaved with the tourist’s family. And, I completely agree this should have happened with the one you do the same. Mark my words guys; I say who do the same.
But, before making any judgment, I immediately contacted the owner of the hotel and I came to know the different story which has completely changed my perception about the hotel, which I made after reading this Facebook post. And I get to know that the hotel’s owner mistake was just that he caught the family running away without paying the hotel charges, and asked them for the money, which they deserve for the services provided.
The owner, Mr Rajesh Joshi told me that, “The booking was done for 8 peoples, but it was 14 people who checked into the hotel, including kids. The family checked into around 4’o clock. The cost of booking was Rs. 6000 for two days, including complimentary breakfast for 8 people. When the owner gets to know that it was 14 people, he asked the family to pay the extra charges for extra people, but at the end, after a lot of discussion, the owner bend by looking at the kids and female members, and allowed them to stay at the hotel at the rate of Rs. 1200, which is Rs. 600 per day (who have this much heart, from Rs. 3000, he came to Rs. 600 just because the family requested a lot). The things got settled and they all went to their room, but at night around 11:30 or 12’o clock, they called on the reception and asked for 5 extra mattresses. The staff asked them to come to reception and talk to the owner. The hotel’s owner said that it would be charged extra and denied to give them for free. On this, few of the family members started abusing them and criticizing their hotel regarding the facilities and the equipment they have, for example, fan. One of the family members said that they have Havel’s fan in their home and the hotel is having Anchor’s fan and so on… After few minutes, the owner too lost his patience and the small fight happened. As there was CCTV camera on the hotel premises, everything that was happened was recorded.
Then, after going back to their rooms, the family called the Make My Trip at around 12:30 am (as they had their booking through their website) and did a complaint against the hotel’s owner where they said that “the owner has not permitted them to stay in the hotel and now they were sleeping on the road; they were even beaten by the hotel’s owner.” The hotel red carpet was one of the best rated and reputed hotels on Make My Trip (MMT) and MMT was very much aware of the facilities provided by them. So, instead of calling at that time, MMT called the hotel’s owner in the morning nearby 7:30 A.M. The hotel is the smart property of OYO as well, so at that time, it was MMT, OYO and the hotel’s owner had a conference call. The owner told them everything that happened to them. Whatever conversation was done on call, MMT has its recording. MMT asked the owner to make them speak to the family once he reaches the hotel.
Mr Rajesh Joshi was at his home when he got a call from his brother at 8:30 A.M. that the family was leaving. The owner reaches the hotel and got to know that the family was running away without paying the money. The owner stopped them and asked for the charges as they have used the hotel facilities. They tried to run away, but when failed, they paid the amount and started to abuse the owner and had a fight with them. Everything was recorded in the CCTV camera present there.”
The owner also told that “after they checked out, then in the afternoon, they all again had the conference call, where there was Make My Trip executive, OYO executive, the hotel’s owner, and one of the family member. MMT wants to help the family, but when all the false statements were cleared, the family member disconnected the call, without uttering a single word. MMT has its recording as well.”
After hearing everything from the owner, I asked him why he didn’t call police at that time. He simply said that “everything that happened was in such a hurry that they didn’t get the time to do so, but now they had filed a complaint against the family as they are abusing him and his hotel publicly, plus they are threatening him.”
My other question was about the CCTV camera footage and the call recording. Where are they and why he has not made it public?
He told me that he has all the CCTV camera footage with him and will public it in a day or two, and about the call recording, he said that Make My Trip (MMT) has its recording but they are not giving it to him, as maybe they don’t want to lose their customer, but can afford to lose the hotel.
I even asked him when he got aware about the post on Facebook, why he didn’t reply on it, and I got shocked with the answer when he told that he was blocked to see the post or to make any comment. He got to know about the post from his friends and other people. Even many people had called him from various places, departments, NGO’s, etc. to know the matter and he explained everything to everyone.
At the end of the entire conversation, he just raised these major points:
1. Why did they not go to the police station once they are beaten in a closed room? What were they waiting for? And if they were scared of going to police at that time, then why they didn’t file a case later? And instead of filing the case, they are posting it publically on social media to make the reputation of the Hotel Red Carpet’s down.
2. Why they made a booking for 8 people as in reality they were 15 people as stated by them in the post?
3. Why they block me on the Facebook? He is not able to see the post and could not able to comment on it. Please ask them.
4. If he is wrong then why he went to police station and filed a complaint against him and clarify everything by footage?
This was the thing which I get to know when I had words with the owner of the Hotel Red Carpet, termed as the best hotel in Dharamshala, which was completely different from the post on Facebook. The owner has all the proofs and is ready to post them publically, but what about the family? Do they have any proof? And are they ready to show the copy of MMT booking and the bill copy issued from the Hotel Red Carpet?
Guys, I don’t want to make any personal comment on this issue, neither I want to share my own personal opinion. I just did my work to bring the facts from both sides and make everyone aware of the things.
I am glad I contacted the Hotel owner and didn’t make my opinion just by knowing the things on one side. Even I am not getting why we people just made a perception by knowing the things from one side, and didn’t tried to know the things from another end as well and then judge who is right or wrong and who should be punished. Is it our foolishness or we are so much frustrated within ourselves that we just look for a chance to show our anger on others? Common guys, be mature and try to act maturely. And, it’s not just about this post, try to follow this in your personal life too, maybe many of your problems may seek out.
Rest guys, I have shown you the facts from both end and now it is totally your decision whom you want to support. If people can use social media to make friends, it may also be used by the people for the purpose of revenge. So, Judge wisely.
(P.S. – I have not mentioned Family member name in the post as my point was just to bring out facts, not to ill-fame anyone.)
